Heritage Outreach

Delve into the cultures, ideas, and practices of America's military history with the Heritage Outreach Program. This four-part program tells the story of the nation's dedication to promoting independence and freedom.

Free of charge and at a time convenient for the teacher, an Army National Guard representative will visit the classroom and discuss exciting historical points of four American wars, illustrating them with photographs, maps, and historical artifacts. An introduction to military history sheds light on the experiences that have shaped our nation. This interactive teaching presentation stimulates students to learn about their past and makes history come alive.

In addition to the live presentation, students receive a booklet exploring four American wars. Teachers are also provided with a curriculum guide full of useful teaching information and classroom activities.

We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give. - Winston Churchill
